From Strength to Strength: Some of Our Clients Amazing Progress

Here at Body Mentors, all of our clients get measurably stronger. Our strength programmes work for everyone, every time. Here are just a few examples.

Sam Ridges

Bruce Regan

Bruce originally started training at Body Mentors in November 2024 from his wife Natasha’s Recommendation. At the start, Bruce was worried due to previously injuring his back in the gym. Which caused frequent trips to the chiropractor in order to fix his back. To no avail, Bruce tried strength training and hasn’t looked back since. Even now with zero back pain.

Larry Ridges

Larry started at Body Mentors with the goal of getting stronger, but early into his training, a recurring shoulder injury kept creeping back in. After some treatment and focused rehab, Larry is now back to benching and pressing and working on getting the weight moving up again. It’s also important to mention that Larry has made all of this progress while losing weight. Which makes his strength gains even more impressive. He has shown great consistency throughout his 8 months of training, and it’s been brilliant to see how much stronger he has become.

Rachel Glenny

Rachel has been training with body mentors since 2023. Initially Rachael wanted to address a shoulder issue and strengthen her back due to a long history of back issues. Once the underlying issues were resolved we quickly moved into our general strength programme. The level of progress Rachel has achieved is nothing short of extraordinary.

Adding 50kg to her squat and over 60kg to her deadlift has made a dramatic difference to her everyday life, and at 78 years old has absolutely no physical barriers meaning she can live life to the fullest. This progress also allowed Rachel to be crowned South Easter record holder in her category and qualify for nationals.

Jeremy Thornton

Started in October 2024 with the goals of wanting to get stronger and start a healthier lifestyle featuring regular gym sessions. His training has helped in his professional capacity since running a gardening company now handling heavy equipment is much easier. Likewise, he’s happy with the aesthetic changes and progress he’s made in feeling and looking healthier.

One of the most commonly used pieces of equipment in the gym is the Smith Machine, invented in the 1950s in America, it was introduced to allow for safety and to improve form for beginners.
