Brent’s third-place at the national level, follows two record breaking appearances at the South East regional level in the past 12 months.

A belated congratulations to Body Mentors client, 72-year-old Brent, who achieved a fantastic third-place finish in the National 2025 British Masters Classic Championships.

Lifting an impressive 130kg squat, 95kg bench press and 150kg deadlift, Brent continues to go from strength to strength. The national powerlifting competition is organised by British Powerlifting, and was held at the Surrey Sports Park on the 28th-29th of June

Brent’s third-place at the national level, follows two record breaking appearances at the South East regional level. He set a new bench press record in his debut in June 2024, followed by breaking not one but all three lifting records in his second competition earlier this year.

“Training Brent has been a huge highlight in my coaching career. At 72, he puts in the work week after week and his 3rd-place finish at nationals was phenomenal. He did himself and us at Body Mentors proud. All I can say is he’s not done yet and we’re coming for that 2nd place next year!”, Will Gorringe, Personal Trainer.
